Just a note for those new to my haiku sites. I have been doing walking and writing haiku and taking pictures for the past twelve years. The mother lode is in my site, Yerry Hill Road Haiku (www.sarvananda.blogspot.com) . My second was based near my daughter, son in law and grand daughter who used to live near Green Lake, Seattle. (greenlakehaiku.blogspot.com). They have moved to another part of Seattle and now my new blog that you are now on so that I don't need to give its address. Enjoy!
Clouds in a puddle--
A gray Seattle morning;
Sun breaking ahead.
Leaf stuck on a fence
Lies on edge of the green field
As the golfers walk by.
Poking through the fence
Evergreen yearns for freedom,
Like everything else.
Outside the fence
Berries, moss and ivy grow
(Don't care about walls.)
Ceramic pots lie
Helter skelter in a box,
Waiting to be filled.
Inviting all folks:
Trade for one of the free books--
(This civilized town).
Mystery tunnel
Through dappled shadows and light.
(It's just up the street).
